Lake Wylie - Tega Cay

People enjoy Lake Wylie for its sailing, water skiing, swimming and fishing.  Area developments have added golf and tennis to water recreation, making this area an attractive housing alternative.  There are restaurants, marinas and shopping centers near the lake.   Tega Cay is located on the east side of Lake Wylie and is approximately 15 miles south of Charlotte.  The city has 16 miles of shoreline and is densely wooded with tall pine trees and hardwoods.  The name Tega Cay means beautiful peninsula in Polynesian and you'll find the South Seas theme carried out in the street names and in some of the area architecture.
