Pineville

Pineville has a population of over 3,000 residents.  The town has maintained a look of yesteryear with hanging baskets of flowers on old fashioned black metal light posts on Main Street.  The town is also home to 18 antique shops  and the Carolina Place Mall.  Pineville's recreation department offers many activities for all ages at Lake Park, including Camp Pineville, a summer camp for children.

Our country's 11th president, James K. Polk, was a Pineville native.  Each year the town celebrates Polk's birthday with demonstrations in weaving and cooking food of his era.
